The RockStack Assessment can show that a business does not yet have an execution system strong enough to carry the value work. Sprints need a system underneath them, or the work spins. The RockStack Engine is how RockStack builds that system with the owner and the team.
The choice
There is more than one way to build it.
Many owners already run EOS or a similar system. If that system works, the business is ready to sprint and does not need this. If the Assessment found no working system, there are three ways to build one.
Implement EOS, or similar.
Engage a certified implementer to install a full operating system. Proven and thorough.
Best when: the owner wants a complete, standalone operating system and has the time and budget for a separate implementation. It runs as its own engagement, and concurrently with RockStack Value Acceleration.
Self-implement Execution System.
Stand up and run the cadence in-house. We recommend Ninety.io as the platform
Best when: the owner and team have the discipline and the time to build the rhythm and sustain it without a facilitator.
Engage the RockStack Engine.
RockStack facilitates the build on Ninety.io, tied directly to the Assessment findings, so the execution system and the value plan are one effort.
Best when: the owner wants the system built quickly and integrated with the value work, without standing up a separate implementation.
If the execution system is the gap, the next step is a short conversation about which of the three routes fits the business.
The build
The Engine builds two things. The plan, and the cadence that runs it.
The plan.
Facilitated working sessions take the owner and the team from vision to priorities. The personal and business vision and targets. The three-to-ten-year picture drawn down to one-year goals. The few priorities that matter most are the rocks in the next ninety days, each with an owner, milestones, and resources. The metrics that show whether the work is moving. The output is a Prioritized Action Plan.
The cadence.
The Engine installs the operating rhythm the team runs from there. A weekly team cadence. A monthly accountability workshop. A quarterly renewal that resets the next sprint, all aligned to the big picture. RockStack builds the rhythm with the team, then the team carries it.
